P2 provisional licence
You'll automatically get your P2 provisional licence if:
- you've had a P1 licence for 12 months, and
- you're 18 years old or older.
When you get your P2 licence, you'll be able to drive under P2 licence conditions.
- Provisional licences issued on or after 28 July 2014 must be held for three years instead of two (one year on P1 and two years on a P2 licence).
- If you hold a Learner's Permit or Provisional Licence and you accumulate 4 or more demerit points you could lose your right to drive for at least six months.
