Changes to allow PV solar panels to be installed within 3m of an edge without rails.

Removal of the requirement for penetrative fixings to secure to structure below the roof sheet. The available proprietary systems are now suitable for direct fixing to sheet only, and it had been found fixing points do not align to building structure in most instances.

Claraification of the requirement that all external stairs and ladders must comply with AS 1657 'Fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders - design, construction and installation.'

Updated wording to align with suitable products available to the market , reducing the risk of possible damage of cables.

Updated departmental names and acronyms.

Clarification concerning the approval process in relation to the installation of floor boxes on Department for Education projects.

Highlighting responsibility to the Lead Professional Service Contractor (LPSC) to provide a safety-in-design risk assessment, and addition of the floor boxes to the safety-in-design register.

Updated requirements for LPSCs to include client-raised items including those noted with construction advice reports within their site inspection reports.

Reduced inspection frequency intervals:
- Metro - From weekly to fortnightly inspection intervals
- Country - From fortnightly to monthly inspection intervals

Updated distribution list requirements.

Additional inspection items added.

Reference to required inspections nominated within the DIT amended National Building Specification.

New process flow charts to clarify LPSC obligations to review and manage raised items, including items raised within construction advice reports.
