Master specification

Our specifications set out what we expect for construction projects and professional services. This includes quality and performance outcomes across the industry. They include supplying materials, planning, designing, constructing and maintaining infrastructure assets.

Our Request for Tender documents are prepared from standard templates. You can get them from Schedule of Contract Documents and Scope of Contract.

About the specifications

Specifications are grouped into eight categories with many parts:

  • Project controls
  • Roads
  • Structures
  • Public realm
  • Railway
  • Maintenance
  • Marine
  • Transport planning.

Each specification part may include a technical specification. This refers to standards, legislation and any necessary supplements. Many parts of our Master Specification cross-reference each other, so they are rarely used on their own.
