Temporary closure of the Purnong Ferry

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises there will be a temporary closure of the Purnong Ferry service from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday, 19 June (weather permitting).

The disruption is to replace upstream and downstream cables, as per the Cable Replacement program.

Alternative crossings will be: Walker Flat Ferry (upstream) and the Mannum Ferry (downstream).
