Make your postal vote count in your local council area

Voters are strongly encouraged to vote in the 2018 local council elections by completing and returning their postal ballot by the due date.

Voting for council elections is by postal ballot which means that all election material will be mailed directly to enrolled voters this week.

Voting packs, which will be sent to enrolled voters registered on the state Electoral Roll as well as those who have enrolled on their council’s Voters Roll, will contain candidate profile brochures, ballot papers, reply paid envelope and a postal voting guide.

Voting in council elections closes 5pm Friday 9 November 2018.

If voters do not receive their voting pack in time to post back their ballot papers, they can place them in the ballot box at their local council office by close of voting.

Contact the Electoral Commission of South Australia (ECSA) if you haven’t received your voting pack 1300 655 232 (within SA only).

Council election results will be available three to five days after the close of voting.
