Site set-up in progress for Oaklands Crossing Grade Separation Project

Tuesday, 10 April 2018

From Monday 16 April 2018, works will commence to set up site compounds for the Oaklands Crossing Grade Separation Project on the Dwyer Road and Diagonal Way Reserves.

To facilitate the safe delivery of the Grade Separation, the section of Diagonal Way, located in front of the Reserves, will be closed to traffic from late-April for the duration of the project until late 2019.

Traffic will be required to detour via Crew Street and Dwyer Road to access parking at Oaklands Railway Station.

Motorists are advised to observe signage and speed restrictions to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Other restrictions may apply subject to onsite conditions.

The Oaklands Crossing Grade Separation Project will improve safety for all road users and ease traffic congestion by lowering the rail line under the road and removing the level crossing.

The $174 million project will be delivered by the Public Transport Projects (PTP) Alliance, with the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI), the Australian Government and the City of Marion.

The department appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are undertaken.
