Henley Beach Jetty upgrade
Monday, 26 March 2018
UPDATE 27/7: Works to upgrade the Henley Beach Jetty require the temporary closure to continue due to recent inclement weather. The jetty is expected to be reopened in September 2018.
***
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is undertaking works to upgrade the Henley Beach Jetty, with the jetty temporarily closed from Tuesday 3 April 2018 to mid-August 2018.
Works will include:
- Installation of a new jetty shelter, stairs, handrail and seating
- Replacing of structural timbers and supports
- Upgraded lighting.
These works are required to maintain the jetty’s long-term structural integrity, provide a safe jetty experience for all users and enhance the existing public facilities.
This project forms part of the South Australian Government’s $3.4 million Marine Jetties Program.
The Department appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation while works are carried out.
