Wallaroo Roads Rehabilitation

We are undertaking pavement works on Magazine Road (including a small part of Sharples Road) and Hughes Street within the Wallaroo township. The project is jointly funded by the State Government and the Copper Coast Council. These works aim to improve safety, access and amenity of the road for all users.

To safely undertake these works, there will be changes to traffic conditions at different times. Please follow traffic management directions while works are in progress. Speed and lane restrictions will be in place while works are underway.

Some properties along Magazine Road/Sharples Road and Hughes Street will have some short-term restricted access. Affected property owners, residents and businesses will be contacted directly in advance.

Pedestrians and cyclists might also need to use a different path during these works. Where required, signage will be in place to direct you to alternative access. Outside of working hours, lane restrictions on Magazine Road, Sharples Road and Hugh Street will be removed, with some speed restrictions in place to ensure safety.

Minor noise and dust disturbances can be expected while works are being undertaken, but we will minimise any disturbance to residents as much as practically possible. You might also notice some odours, which is normal during asphalt work.
