James Congdon Drive and Sir Donald Bradman Drive upgrade

About the project

We are upgrading the intersection of James Congdon Drive and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, making it easier to get from South Road straight to the city.

We’re also providing better access to the CBD from the western suburbs and improving safety for cyclists.

The $40 million project is part of the $850 million package of broader network upgrades, funded by the Australian and South Australian governments as part of the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project.

The project will boost South Australia's economy, supporting 165 full time equivalent jobs during construction.

Night works notice

Works are progressing well at the intersection of James Congdon Drive and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, including the installation of a retaining wall on the southeast corner.
