Thiele Highway Safety Upgrades
Works on the Thiele Highway between Kapunda and Eudunda are now complete.
This project formed part of the $168 million National Road Safety Program, jointly funded by the Australian (50%) and South Australian (50%) governments.
Completed works on the Thiele Highway between Kapunda and Eudunda included:
- Shoulder sealing
- Pavement rehabilitation
- New line marking
- Safety Barrier installation
Over the coming months we will be undertaking Audio Tactile Line Marking (ATLM) installation across completed projects. ATLM is used to reduce rural ‘run-off-road’ road crashes by providing a noise (audio) and vibratory (tactile) warning to road users.
