Kangaroo Island Road Safety and Bushfire Resilience Package

We have delivered upgrades to Kangaroo Island’s key arterial roads, improving road safety and bushfire resilience. This $40 million package of upgrades was funded by the Australian (80%) and South Australian government (20%).

Major works, including pavement construction and sealing, line marking, audio tactile line marking and safety barrier installation, are now complete on Hog Bay Road and Playford Highway.

  • Kangaroo Island Ports Upgrades

    The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) is upgrading the ports at Penneshaw and Cape Jervis to continue to support services between Kangaroo Island and the mainland
