Don't miss 100 years of the Royal Adelaide Show, get there easily with Adelaide Metro!
Tuesday 26 August 2025

As the Royal Adelaide Show gears up for its 100th year, punters are encouraged to make public transport their first ride of the day.
More than 30 Adelaide Metro bus and train services will bring showgoers to the heart of the action this year when the Show kicks off on Saturday 30 August.
A dedicated shuttle service (21W) will operate Monday to Friday every 20 minutes from Currie Street to the Showgrounds, starting from 8am.
The shuttle buses will loop between Stop V1 Currie Street and Goodwood Road Interchange at the Adelaide Showground. The last service will leave the Showground at 11.10pm each night.
On weekends, the shuttle (23W) will operate every 12 minutes.
An additional shuttle (22W) will operate from Tea Tree Plaza via the O-Bahn, stopping at Paradise and Klemzig Interchanges, before heading directly to the Adelaide Showgrounds.
This service will run every 15 to 30 minutes from 9am to 8pm every day, with three of the services starting from Golden Grove Interchange.
Passengers heading to the show from Golden Grove Interchange will also be able to catch any regular O-Bahn service to the city and connect onto the 21W shuttle from Currie Street.
This year, substitute buses will replace trams during the show due to the tram line closure to facilitate the Tram Grade Separation Projects.
The closest stop to the Adelaide Showgrounds is Stop 4 Leader Street and extra services will run on Friday and Saturday nights to provide additional capacity.
These will run alongside regular Adelaide Metro buses and trains and additional express and shuttle bus services, as well as the Flinders and Belair train lines, which both stop at the Adelaide Showgrounds Station
Express Seaford services will also stop at the Adelaide Showgrounds Railway Station and operate between 9:40am and 2:45pm; and 5:40pm to last service.
