About the project

We have constructed a single lane roundabout at the junction of Yorktown Road and Adams Road in Elizabeth Downs, as part of an election commitment to improve safety and access in the northern suburbs. 

What we did

This project included:

• installation of a single lane roundabout

• new and upgraded LED lighting to improve safety

• new kerb and gutter

• new and upgraded road surface and new line marking

• new pedestrian crossing facilities on Adams Road, approaching the roundabout.

The installation of this roundabout will improve safety and reduce waiting times for motorists turning right out of Adams Road onto Yorktown Road.
