About the project
We are delivering upgrades to the Dukes Highway to improve safety and reliability for all road users.
These upgrades will also improve freight productivity by reducing travel times for the delivering goods to businesses and the community, as well as reducing operating costs for commercial vehicles.
The upgrades will take place over 10 years, starting in 2023, and will include the resurfacing of roads, junctions, and rest areas.
Completed works
- Resurfacing works at multiple locations between Tailem Bend and Bordertown. Completed March 2025.
- Pavement works between Bull Oak Flat Road and Pine Hill Road. Completed May 2024.
- Upgrade to the surface of the rest area located west of Keith. Completed October 2023.
