South Road Superway

The South Road Superway started in February 2010 and was completed in December 2013.
The $842 million South Road Superway project was the biggest single investment in a South Australian road project at the time of construction. It was also the state’s most complex engineering road construction project.
Project overview
This stage of the North-South Corridor upgrade delivered a 4.8-kilometre non-stop corridor. It comprises a 2.8-km elevated roadway, which extends from the Port River Expressway to Regency Road.
The Superway:
- connects industry to air and seaports and intermodal sites
- meets future residential and industrial demand
- complements long-term growth, mining and interstate exports and manufacturing investment.
