The School Coordinator liaises with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport and service providers.

2 weeks before delivery | Consent forms Ensure that all students have returned their parent permission slip. The school will retain these. Please also provide a copy to the service provider. |
Class teacher resource (lessons) Complete the class teacher compulsory topics 1 and 2 in class. Topic 1 Getting Organised and Topic 2 Helmets are essential to prepare for the program. Teachers can adapt the lessons to align with resources and time available, as well as student needs. The only requirement is that the learning intentions are met. This allows the program to be as practical as possible and maximises riding time with instructors. | |
Begin completing the Student Learning Journal as you work through the class topics. Your School Coordinator will have ordered one hard copy per participant | |
1 to 2 weeks before delivery | Watch the Bike Safety Check video with your class or provide a link for students to watch at home. |
Complete class teacher topics 3 and 4 in class (if possible) these topics will support participants understanding during practical sessions. | |
Read the sequence of learning guide and familiarise yourself with the contents of the assessment sheet. Instructors can answer questions on the day. | |
Day before the first session | Reminder Remind parents and students to bring their bicycles and helmets to school. |
