Notice to Mariners No. 12 of 2021

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – KANGAROO ISLAND – KINGSCOTE – BAY OF SHOALS – MODIFICATIONS TO NAVIGATION BEACONS
Mariners are advised that the unlit port hand beacon in position 35° 37’ 59.64” S, 137° 38’ 13.62” E in Bay of Shoals near Kingscote (Kangaroo Island) reported missing in Notice to Mariners No. 17 of 2020 has now been replaced with a new lit port hand beacon in a different location. The new lit port hand beacon is located in position 35° 37’ 57.64” S, 137° 38’ 11.57” E and has a light Fl R 4s, range 2 nautical miles.
In addition the unlit port hand beacon in position 35° 37’ 59.25” S, 137° 38’ 22.47” E has been removed and will not be replaced.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
