Notice to Mariners No. 10 of 2021 (Temporary)

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – ENCOUNTER BAY – VICTOR HARBOR – EXCLUSION ZONE AROUND GRANITE ISLAND CAUSEWAY.
Mariners are advised that an exclusion zone has been established around the Granite Island causeway at Victor Harbor for the construction of the new causeway. The exclusion zone is marked with floating buoys and extends approximately 300 metres north of the Granite Island causeway to approximately 300 metres south of the Granite Island causeway.
Mariners, swimmers, bathers and all other aquatic users are prohibited from entering the exclusion zone.
The exclusion zone will be in operation until the bridge works are completed in mid-2022, weather permitting.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
