Grange Road, Holbrooks Road and East Avenue Intersection Upgrade

About the project

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is upgrading the intersection of Grange Road, Holbrooks Road and East Avenue to relieve congestion and improve safety and connectivity for all road users at this location.

The $90 million project is part of the $850 million package of broader network upgrades, funded by the Australian and South Australian governments as part of the T2D Project.

Latest News

Temporary Holbrooks Road detour

Works are progressing well at the intersection of Grange Road, Holbrooks Road and East Avenue.

To safely facilitate ongoing service relocation works, traffic on Holbrooks Road will be temporarily closed between Banks Avenue and Grange Road at night with detours in place.

Temporary speed and lane restrictions will also be in place on Grange Road at night to undertake further service relocation works.

Traffic barriers installation

The next stage of works will include road widening activities, and also traffic barrier installations on the western side of East Avenue and Holbrooks Road.

To keep everyone safe installation of the traffic barriers will occur at night from Tuesday 10 June 2025 and take approximately four nights to complete.  The barriers will remain in place for approximately three months.
