About the project

We have upgraded various sections of the Sturt Highway between Renmark and Gawler. Extending approximately 210km, this section of Sturt Highway passes through the townships of Nuriootpa, Truro, Blanchetown, Waikerie, Barmera, Berri and Renmark. 

What's happening

Works have included:

  • road rehabilitation works including shoulder sealing, resurfacing and upgraded barriers
  • additional overtaking lanes
  • improved and additional rest areas
  • safety enhancements at key junctions of the Sturt Highway.
