Location

About the project

We previously sought feedback from the community on two options to improve safety and access at this intersection. Since then, the project team has considered the feedback received, completed technical investigations and progressed the design.

The plan for the upgrade has now been finalised and construction is planned to start in 2025.

What's happening

A signalised intersection will best address what is most important to the community and provide the greatest improvements to access and safety at the intersection.

The upgrade will include installation of:

  • signalised dedicated through lanes across Shepherds Hill Road
  • signalised dedicated right-hand turn lanes from Shepherds Hill Road onto Brighton Parade and Waite Street
  • new dedicated bicycle lanes on both sides of Shepherds Hill Road
  • new signalised pedestrian crossings through the intersection.
