About the project

Works on Flinders Highway between Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln are now complete.

The Flinders Highway is a key transport corridor for farming, freight and tourist movements in and around the Eyre Peninsular. These upgrades will improve freight movements, support regional economic growth and improve safety for all road users.

Project background

The State Government has allocated $10 million over four years (2024 to 2027) for targeted road safety initiatives on rural roads.

This includes:

  • audio tactile line marking
  • safety barriers
  • rural junction activated warning system signage.
