The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a critically important role in South Australia, delivering the State's infrastructure projects and operating and maintaining the State’s transport networks. This executive appointment for a period of up to 3 years provides the successful appointee with an exciting opportunity to apply their extensive government experience and financial and procurement expertise to play a key role in the leadership, financial performance and strategic direction for the Department.

Reporting to the Executive Director, People and Corporate Services, you will provide strategic financial analysis and advice, support the investment strategy process to formulate capital and operating budgets, provide value for money procurement outcomes and will develop and implement improvements to financial and procurement systems ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Law or an equivalent discipline, backed by proven experience in balancing the technical aspects of the role with a capacity to enable leaders across the enterprise to deliver key outcomes. Our successful candidate will demonstrate a capability and experience in transforming finance and procurement functions, using strong interpersonal skills to shape and lead a team through changes that deliver a step up in the efficiency and effectiveness of performance.
