Professional development
The training and development part of the Scheme involves a range of programs including:
- induction
- on the job training and 12 monthly job rotation.
The job rotation is about broadening a person’s experience in the work of the area to which they are rotated as well as exposure to different operating styles.
Qualified Technical Officers (QTOs) are located in various parts of the business within Transport Services Division, along with all other technical officers.
Technical officers and QTOs can be based in the city or located at one of DIT’s regional offices. Regional offices are located in both the metropolitan and rural areas of the state.
