The Manager, Delivery - Zone 1 is accountable to the Director, Road Network Maintenance for providing high level leadership and direction to support implementation in the delivery zone (and state-wide for electrical assets) of a state-wide framework and approach to management of the Department’s road and road-related assets aligned with strategic priorities.

The role is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals and technical experts and driving the development and delivery of minor regional enhancement programs and evaluation of contractor conformance with performance and operational standards, safety and environmental plans and specifications, managing local investigations to scope minor capital works and annual renewal works programs for road and road-related assets in the zone, and state-wide electrical and ITS assets, leading the engagement, collaboration and interface with customers, stakeholders and local communities across the zone and coordinating the provision of technical advice and local knowledge to internal and external stakeholders, including to inform program planning, contractor conformance, customer enquiries, and third party applications.

Requirements
MAS3 - Tertiary qualifications in a business or other relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
PO5 - A degree and/or post graduate qualification in civil engineering, providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or similar.

Special Conditions
This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays may be required.
