ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

550 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 554 during 2012.

53 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2013.

39 serious injuries were males and 14 were females.

28 were vehicle occupants, 14 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 1 was a cyclist.

In SEPTEMBER 2013, there were 21 serious injuries in the country and 29 in Adelaide.

Of the 51 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2013, 35 involved a single vehicle and 16 involved more than one vehicle.
49 crashes involved a single serious injury and 2 involved multiple serious injuries.
