KEY FACTS:
  • 328 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2012, compared with 399 during 2011.


  • 77 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2012.


  • 50 serious injuries were males and 27 were females.


  • 53 were vehicle occupants, 13 were motorcycle riders, 7 were pedestrians and 4 were cyclists.


  • In MAY 2012, there were 31 serious injuries in the country and 46 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 66 serious injury crashes in MAY 2012, 27 involved a single vehicle and 39 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 58 crashes involved a single serious injury and 8 involved multiple serious injuries.
