KEY FACTS:

244 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 248 during 2012.

68 people have been seriously injured in APRIL 2013.

43 serious injuries were males and 25 were females.

47 were vehicle occupants, 9 were motorcycle riders, 7 were cyclists and 5 were pedestrians.

In APRIL 2013, there were 35 serious injuries in the country and 33 in Adelaide.

Of the 56 serious injury crashes in APRIL 2013, 33 involved a single vehicle and 23 involved more than one vehicle.
46 crashes involved a single serious injury and 10 involved multiple serious injuries.
