KEY FACTS:

244 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2014, compared with 253 during 2013.

61 people have been seriously injured in APRIL 2014.

36 serious injuries were males and 25 were females.

37 were vehicle occupants, 13 were motorcycle riders, 6 were pedestrians and 5 were cyclists.

In APRIL 2014, there were 37 serious injuries in the country and 24 in Adelaide.

Of the 50 serious injury crashes in APRIL 2014, 24 involved a single vehicle and 26 involved more than one vehicle.
42 crashes involved a single serious injury and 8 involved multiple serious injuries.
