ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

537 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 599 during 2016.

46 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2017.

30 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.

33 were vehicle occupants, 7 were motorcycle riders, 4 were pedestrians and 2 were cyclists.

In OCTOBER 2017, there were 18 serious injuries in the country and 28 in Adelaide.

Of the 39 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2017, 23 involved a single vehicle and 16 involved more than one vehicle.
34 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
