KEY FACTS:
  • 537 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 599 during 2016.


  • 46 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2017.


  • 30 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.


  • 33 were vehicle occupants, 7 were motorcycle riders, 4 were pedestrians and 2 were cyclists.


  • In OCTOBER 2017, there were 18 serious injuries in the country and 28 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 39 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2017, 23 involved a single vehicle and 16 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 34 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
