KEY FACTS:

497 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2015, compared with 483 during 2014.

64 people have been seriously injured in AUGUST 2015.

44 serious injuries were males and 20 were females.

42 were vehicle occupants, 12 were motorcycle riders, 5 were cyclists and 5 were pedestrians.

In AUGUST 2015, there were 26 serious injuries in the country and 38 in Adelaide.

Of the 58 serious injury crashes in AUGUST 2015, 37 involved a single vehicle and 21 involved more than one vehicle.
53 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
