ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

608 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2012, compared with 766 during 2011.

67 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2012.

45 serious injuries were males and 22 were females.

34 were vehicle occupants, 15 were motorcycle riders, 12 were cyclists and 6 were pedestrians.

In OCTOBER 2012, there were 30 serious injuries in the country and 37 in Adelaide.

Of the 61 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2012, 31 involved a single vehicle and 30 involved more than one vehicle.
56 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
