ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

114 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2012, compared with 155 during 2011.

66 people have been seriously injured in FEBRUARY 2012.

39 serious injuries were males and 27 were females.

46 were vehicle occupants, 8 were motorcycle riders, 7 were pedestrians and 5 were cyclists.

In FEBRUARY 2012, there were 37 serious injuries in the country and 29 in Adelaide.

Of the 54 serious injury crashes in FEBRUARY 2012, 31 involved a single vehicle and 23 involved more than one vehicle.
47 crashes involved a single serious injury and 7 involved multiple serious injuries.
