KEY FACTS:
  • 717 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2014, compared with 790 during 2013.


  • 69 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2014.


  • 47 serious injuries were males and 22 were females.


  • 50 were vehicle occupants, 11 were motorcycle riders, 6 were cyclists and 2 were pedestrians.
  • In DECEMBER 2014, there were 38 serious injuries in the country and 31 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 55 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2014, 32 involved a single vehicle and 23 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 52 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
