KEY FACTS:

436 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2012, compared with 544 during 2011.

64 people have been seriously injured in JULY 2012.

45 serious injuries were males and 19 were females.

41 were vehicle occupants, 11 were cyclists, 6 were motorcycle riders and 6 were pedestrians.

In JULY 2012, there were 25 serious injuries in the country and 39 in Adelaide.

Of the 52 serious injury crashes in JULY 2012, 31 involved a single vehicle and 21 involved more than one vehicle.
44 crashes involved a single serious injury and 8 involved multiple serious injuries.
