KEY FACTS:
  • 761 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2012, compared with 931 during 2011.


  • 60 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2012.


  • 36 serious injuries were males and 24 were females.


  • 33 were vehicle occupants, 13 were motorcycle riders, 7 were cyclists and 7 were pedestrians.
  • In DECEMBER 2012, there were 22 serious injuries in the country and 38 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 51 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2012, 26 involved a single vehicle and 25 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 45 crashes involved a single serious injury and 6 involved multiple serious injuries.
